Why don’t I post family shoots on my website and only occasionally share some on my social media?

I’ve been asked about this a lot recently, so I thought I’d explain!

When it comes to sharing photos of children online, I’m very mindful. Before I ever share a child’s face on my profile, I go through a small checklist to make sure it aligns with the family’s comfort level

For Social Media Stories:

– The parents have previously posted photos of their children online

– I have had a conversation with the parents about sharing

– The parents have specifically approved which photos are included

For my Website or Social Media Posts:

– The parents also share photos publicly and have public accounts

– I know the family personally

– The parents have specifically approved which photos are posted

I believe every family should be able to protect their children online to whatever extent feels right for them. Your family’s comfort and privacy will always come before my portfolio

Because of that, many family sessions remain completely private, even though I am incredibly grateful to capture them
